Finished installing the GDL 82 and flew the test flight, unit worked flawlessly with zero data errors. Unit was more difficult to install than I anticipated mainly due to lack of space behind the panel, working upside down in the foot well of the cockpit, and the length of the unit with the connector (I had to cut out some of the interior bulkhead behind the panel). I also need to design something that allows zip ties to be installed with one hand . Here is a picture of the panel as I was working on it, had to remove most of the avionics to get my hands in and hook up the wiring.
All good to go now for 2020
This is a link to Bill Schlatterers Petit Jean 2017 photo album, great pictures of the event.

Slowly rebuilding the blog and adding features, my buddy Don sent me this picture of his plane yesterday arriving at Airman Acres for the bean lunch. The picture is in the new Vans calendar, great shot!!!
As Microsoft stopped support for their home server WHS2011 I had to rebuild my server. Lots of learning and finally got around to rebuilding this WordPress blog which is a work in progress at this time.
